اين کتاب پتانسيل انرژي هاي  تجديد پذير شامل برق گرمايي خورشيدي، برق بادي، برق آبي کوچک و  برق زمين گرمايي را در ايران برآورد مي نمايد. سپس از طريق ارزيابي هاي اقتصادي امکان سنجي اقتصادي توليد برق سبز را در ايران مورد ارزيابي قرار ميدهد. همچنين با فروض منطقي پيش بيني توليد برق سبز تا سال 2030 در ايران و سهم آن در کل برق توليدي کشور  صورت مي گيرد. همچنين رهيافت هاي سياستي مختلفي هم در اين زمينه ارايه ميشود. با مقايسه سياست هاي فعلي ايران و کشورهاي اروپايي بهري گيري از تجارب خارجي نيز توصيه شده است.
